Thirty Minutes Covers the Full Family and the Smaller Groupings
Every Signature session covers full-family portraits, couple and children’s shots, individual portraits and genuine candid moments, with your photographer guiding natural poses throughout. Before wrapping up, there’s time for any special groupings or final photo requests you’ve been saving.
Nobody needs posing experience. Kids too. The direction stays relaxed and friendly, and if you’re bringing twenty relatives with a long list of groupings, that is a different job with its own longer session.
Where You'll Meet, and What to Expect on the Day
Sessions are held at one of four West Maui beaches: Ironwoods Beach, D.T. Fleming Beach, Kapalua Bay or Napili Bay. Your photographer confirms the exact meeting point the evening before, based on lighting, weather and current beach conditions. Arrive 10 minutes early.
Getting onto the sand is easy at some beaches and less so at others, where uneven ground and a short walk are part of reaching the water. If anyone in the group needs an easier approach, contact the team before booking and they’ll suggest the most accessible beach for your family.
What's Included for Up to Eight Guests
Up to eight people are covered by the $449 price. That’s room for parents, kids and a grandparent or two. Included:
- A 30-minute private photo session for up to 8 guests
- A morning or sunset session
- 60+ professionally edited, high-resolution images
- Your gallery, online and private, within 6–10 days
- High-resolution digital downloads and a personal print release
Not included: guests beyond eight, who are $25 each; prints, albums and wall art; RAW or unedited files; and transportation to the meeting location. For scale, DBEDT’s August 2026 visitor statistics put Maui visitor spending at $328.90 per person per day, so the full package costs less than two people’s average day on the island.
Choosing Between the Quick, Signature and Large ʻOhana Sessions
Group size and how many groupings you want decide it. A couple or a family of four who wants a short session is well served by the 20-minute Quick Beach Portrait at $395. The Signature Family Session adds ten minutes and room for eight guests. It also raises the minimum from 20 images to 60, for $54 more.
Bringing the whole extended family? A larger group that wants more time and more photo groupings belongs in the 45-minute Large ʻOhana Session, which includes up to 20 guests.
Weather Calls, Changes and Cancellations
A cloudy sky or a brief passing shower doesn’t cancel a session on its own. The photographer makes the call on safety and suitability, and may move the session to a different location; if the session can’t go ahead, you can reschedule at no charge or take a full refund.
Cancellation and rescheduling requests need to arrive at least 72 hours before the session to qualify for a refund or credit, minus applicable booking fees. Changes within 72 hours and no-shows are charged the full booking amount. Arriving late can mean a shortened session, with no refund and no added photo time.
