Maui Event Photography for Parties and Retreats
Candid Coverage for Birthdays, Reunions and Company Gatherings
Somebody at your party will spend the night behind a phone instead of a drink. Usually it’s the host.
Maui event photography from Maui Aloha Photography hands that job to a professional, so the person who planned everything finally gets to be a guest — at a 50th birthday dinner, a family reunion two years in the making, or a company retreat. Two hours of coverage is $795 plus tax. Pick the date and book it.
The Maui Aloha Difference
- Price: $795 plus tax for two consecutive hours with one professional event photographer.
- More time: Each extra hour is $300, added when you book.
- Images: 100 or more professionally edited, high-resolution photos in a private online gallery.
- Delivery: Your gallery arrives within 6 to 10 days of the event.
- Cancellations: Cancel or reschedule in writing at least 72 hours ahead for a refund or credit, less booking fees and committed third-party costs.
Two Hours, One Photographer and 100+ Edited Images
The $795 package buys one professional photographer for two consecutive hours and at least 100 edited, high-resolution images.
In those two hours you get the candid moments, the details someone spent weeks choosing, and the group portraits on your list: the cousins together, or the whole sales team before anyone loosens a tie. A pre-event consultation and a custom coverage plan come first. Afterward you get a private online gallery with high-resolution downloads, plus personal printing and sharing rights.
More hours cost $300 apiece. Three hours runs $1,095 and four runs $1,395, before tax and booking fees, and choosing them at checkout beats counting on a same-day extension the photographer may not be free to give.
Built for Celebrations, Retreats and Performances
This package covers birthdays, anniversaries, family reunions, private dinners, corporate gatherings, retreats and performances.
A tip for reunions. If what the family really wants is one great portrait of everyone together on the sand, a beach session is the better buy: the Large Ohana Session starts at $589 for 45 minutes and up to 20 people on a West Maui beach. Event coverage earns its money when the day itself is the story. The toasts, the kids under the table, Grandma cutting the cake
Your Schedule and Shot List Become the Coverage Plan
Your photographer works from the schedule and must-capture list you send, so a specific list produces a better gallery. Vague lists produce vague galleries.
The booking questionnaire asks for your venue, schedule, guest count and photography priorities. Before the day, send the final schedule, names of the people who matter most, the group combinations you want, and venue access, parking and coordinator details; awards, signs or products that need a clean photo go on the list too.
We send the photographer’s name, meeting point and parking instructions ahead of time. The organizer or a designated contact should be at that meeting point at least 10 minutes before coverage begins. Timing is strict, because coverage starts and ends at the booked times, and a cake cutting that runs late can land outside your window. Videography is a separate booking, subject to videographer availability.
Business Use Is Included, Paid Advertising Needs Approval
Company events come with standard website, social media and internal business usage rights. Paid advertising, resale, publication and extended commercial licensing need separate written approval first.
That split matters. A retreat photo on the careers page is covered, while the same photo in a paid ad campaign is a conversation to have before the event. RAW files are not provided, and drone photography is not part of this service. Fresh headshots and team photos for the website are a different job, handled in a shorter 45-minute session priced by team size.
Weather Backups, Extras and the 72-Hour Policy
Outdoor coverage depends on safe conditions, so give an outdoor event an indoor or covered backup before the date arrives. In August 2026 Hurricane Lala passed south of the islands, and a week later Tropical Storm Moke brought heavy rain and wind to parts of East Maui, according to state tourism data.
For outdoor events we work with you to adjust the location, timing or date when we reasonably can. If we cancel because weather or location conditions are unsafe, you can reschedule at no additional charge or take a full refund of the service amount. Indoor venue cancellations stay under the standard policy.
That policy is short. Changes must reach us in writing at least 72 hours before the start time, and a refund then excludes booking fees and any third-party costs already committed; inside 72 hours, and for no-shows, the booking is nonrefundable. Venue fees, admission, parking, permit costs and travel outside the approved coverage area are yours to cover.
Large events may need a second photographer, available for an extra fee and subject to availability. Rush editing when scheduling permits, prints and albums, and additional locations can be arranged too.
Book Your Maui Event Photographer
Choose the date and start time, add any extra hours you think the event will need, and answer the questionnaire while the guest list and schedule are still fresh in your head. Then send the final schedule.
Maui Event Photography FAQs
How much does an event photographer cost in Maui?
Maui Aloha Photography charges $795 plus tax for two hours of event coverage with one photographer and 100 or more edited images. Every extra hour adds $300, and booking fees are added at checkout.
How long does it take to get event photos back?
Expect your private online gallery within 6 to 10 days of the event. Final image counts depend on how much happens during the coverage window.
Can a Maui event photographer cover a corporate retreat?
Yes. Retreats, company dinners and corporate gatherings are all covered, with standard website, social media and internal business usage included. Paid advertising use needs written approval.
Are venue fees included in Maui event photography packages?
No. Venue fees, admission, parking and permit costs sit outside the $795 package, and the person booking is responsible for getting permission to photograph at a private venue.
What happens if our Maui event runs past the booked time?
Coverage ends at the time you booked. Extensions cost $300 an hour but depend on the photographer being free that day, so it is safer to add the hours when you book.
