Booking & Scheduling

How do I book a Maui family photography session?

Book online through our site with your preferred date, group size, and package. We’ll confirm availability and walk you through the details so everything runs smoothly.

How far in advance should I book?

Two to four weeks ahead is ideal, and sooner is smart during peak travel seasons and for sunset sessions. Sunset times book up fastest because only a limited number of spots are available each week.

What is the best time of day for beach photos in Maui?

Early morning and the hour before sunset — often called golden hour — give the softest, warmest light and the most flattering photos. These times also tend to be less crowded on the beach. We’ll recommend the best window based on your chosen location.

Can I book a sunset session?

Yes. Sunset sessions are our most popular and most requested time, so spots are limited each week. Book early to reserve one, especially during busy travel months.

Do you photograph sessions year-round?

Yes. Maui’s climate makes beach portraits beautiful in every season, so we shoot throughout the year. Lighting and conditions vary by season, and we’ll help you pick the best time and beach for your dates.

Locations

Where do your Maui photo sessions take place?

We shoot on West Maui’s most iconic beaches, including Napili Bay, known for stunning sunsets and dramatic rocks; Kapalua Beach, with golden sand and calm, protected water; and D.T. Fleming Beach, with its long stretches of white sand.

Which West Maui beach is best for family photos?

It depends on your priorities. Kapalua Beach’s calm water is great for families with young kids, Napili Bay is ideal for dramatic sunset backdrops, and D.T. Fleming offers open space for larger groups. We’ll recommend the best fit based on your group and the day’s conditions.

Will you help us choose the location?

Absolutely. Choosing the right beach is part of what we do. We factor in your group size, the time of day, the tide, and the weather to pick the spot that will look and feel best for your session.

Pricing & Packages

How much does a Maui family photo session cost?

Sessions start at $395. The Quick Beach Portrait is $395, the Signature Family Session is $449, and the Large Ohana Session is $589. Pricing reflects session length, the number of edited photos you receive, and the size of your group.

What is included in each photography package?

The Quick Beach Portrait includes 20 minutes, 20+ edited photos, and up to 4 guests. The Signature Family Session includes 30 minutes, 60+ edited photos, and up to 8 guests. The Large Ohana Session includes 45 minutes, 100+ edited photos, and up to 20 guests. Every package includes posing guidance and outfit suggestions.

How many people can be in the photos?

It depends on your package: up to 4 guests for the Quick Beach Portrait, up to 8 for the Signature Family Session, and up to 20 for the Large Ohana Session. Larger groups are welcome — additional guests are $25 per person.

Is there a fee for extra guests?

Yes. Guests beyond your package’s included count are $25 per person, so you can add family members without switching packages.

Do you offer sessions for large families or ohana groups?

Yes. The Large Ohana Session is built for big groups — 45 minutes, 100+ edited photos, and up to 20 guests, with additional guests welcome at $25 each. It’s our best option for multi-generational family reunions on the island.

The Session Experience

What should we wear for beach photos in Maui?

Coordinated but not matching outfits photograph best — think soft, complementary colors like whites, blues, tans, and light neutrals that suit the beach setting. Every package includes outfit suggestions, and we’re happy to give you tailored advice once your session is booked.

Do you help with posing?

Yes. We guide you through natural, relaxed posing so nothing feels stiff or forced. Our goal is to capture genuine connection and real moments, so most of the direction is simply helping you interact and enjoy the time together.

Are your sessions good for young kids and babies?

Definitely. We work well with kids and families and keep sessions easy, playful, and low-pressure. We follow the children’s energy and capture candid moments rather than forcing everyone to sit still.

How long does a session last?

Session length depends on your package: 20 minutes for the Quick Beach Portrait, 30 minutes for the Signature Family Session, and 45 minutes for the Large Ohana Session.

Photos & Delivery

How long until we receive our edited photos?

You’ll receive your fully edited photos within 4-6 days of your session. That fast turnaround means you can share your favorites while you’re still on vacation.

How many photos will we get?

You’ll receive at least 20 edited photos with the Quick Beach Portrait, 60+ with the Signature Family Session, and 100+ with the Large Ohana Session. Every image is professionally edited before delivery.

Are the photos edited?

Yes. Every photo you receive is professionally edited — there’s no separate charge for editing and no need to sort through unfinished images. You get a polished, ready-to-share gallery.

How will we receive our photos?

Your edited images are delivered digitally so you can download, share, and print them easily. We’ll send delivery details when your gallery is ready.

Weather & Logistics

What happens if it rains or the weather is bad?

Maui weather changes quickly, and passing showers often create beautiful, dramatic images. If conditions genuinely won’t work for your session, we’ll be in touch to shift the time or reschedule so you still get the photos you came for.

Do we need to bring anything to the session?

Just yourselves, your chosen outfits, and anything that helps kids feel comfortable. We handle the rest — including choosing the location and guiding the session — so you can relax and enjoy the beach.

What if we need to reschedule?

If your plans change, reach out through our booking form as soon as you can, and we’ll do our best to find a new time that works for your trip.
